Tara has been practicing her walking lately - usually by taking a few steps between Rocky and I, or holding on to someone's finger and leading them around. But yesterday when we were at work she decided to just take off across the room all by herself! Then when we got home she kept it up, walking all over the house. She really likes to carry something with her, especially her shoes!

Random Pictures
Here are a few recent pictures...
We took road trip to Big Horn Canyon, WY over the weekend. It looks like a fun place to go boating in the summer.
Big Horn Sheep at the canyon.

Tara and I at the overlook.

This is our driveway a few weeks ago. We got about a foot of snow, which wasn't so bad, but then the wind started to blow. The drifts were so deep the driveway had to be plowed so we could get in and out. The ditch next to our house was full of cars all weekend, we were busy!

Tara loves to play with Crash on his bed. It is her favorite place to be and if we let her she would sleep there. Crash is very good about keeping her entertained, but she always needs a bath after she has been playing with him because he licks her constantly.

And she loves the carry coasters around in her mouth....

"Here Crash, you can have my coaster"

Christmas 2008
Merry Christmas! Here are a few pictures of Christmas so far.
Our neighbors came over last night and brought their little boy. He is almost exactly 2 months younger than Tara - they had fun playing with the gift from Auntie Presca.

Christmas Morning.

Santa brought Tara a new toy for Christmas. She can either ride on it, or use it to learn to walk. She loves it and I am surprised how well she was able to walk behind it!
My gift from Rocky! I have been wanting this since we moved to Laurel. I saw it in a home at the Parade of Homes, and probably should have just put it on lay-away then, but never did. I was totally surprised!! It looks really beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice.

Uh-oh
Tara's new favorite thing to say is "uh-oh". She usually says it when she has dropped something or is doing something she knows she isn't supposed to do (like crawling toward the fireplace). This morning I was able to get her saying it a couple of times. You can see she looks down at the floor after she says it because she had just dropped her paper towel. She gets really quiet for some reason toward the end, I guess she got tired of performing!

9 Months
Tara had her 9 month check up yesterday. She is in the 75th% in height and 25th% in weight, which is consistent with what she has been. In other words she is tall and skinny (weird). Otherwise she is developmentally just fine, she played with the blocks just the way she was supposed to.
