Loving Life

The horses are loving life right now! They are turned out on 30 acres with all the green grass they can eat, and it makes me so happy to go visit them and watch them run and enjoy all their freedom.
Tara loves them too and isn't a bit afraid (which is scary). Missy is such a kind horse though, and doesn't mind little girls coming up to pet her face or sit on her back.


I always bring them a bucket of grain and they are now trained to come running!

Easter and the Play Ground

Today we took Tara on an Easter egg "hunt" and then she got to play on the playground. She picked up all her eggs and put them in the basket with out us telling her what to do, but then she really wanted to check out the playground. She liked the slide the best.

Funny Farm

Tara got a touch and feel farm animal book from her cousin for her birthday. She absolutely loves it! In fact when she brings it to me, she will stomp her feet in excitement/anticipation until I read it to her. The pig is her favorite. Cutouts of the animals come out and I am trying to teach her to pick out the cow, sheep, pig, etc. - but she always goes for the pig. We are still learning.

Tara Turned One!

Tara had her first birthday last week. She had a good day, and had her first taste of cake! Her friend at work, Donna, made her some carrot cake muffins with cream cheese icing. She was a little skeptical at first, but it didn't take long for her to realize she really liked them. Then Rocky and I got her an ice cream cake, that she liked a lot, but we had to feed it to her because it was too cold for her to pick up. She got lots of nice gifts thanks to all her wonderful family members!

Look Who's Walking!

Tara has been practicing her walking lately - usually by taking a few steps between Rocky and I, or holding on to someone's finger and leading them around. But yesterday when we were at work she decided to just take off across the room all by herself! Then when we got home she kept it up, walking all over the house. She really likes to carry something with her, especially her shoes!

We took road trip to Big Horn Canyon, WY over the weekend. It looks like a fun place to go boating in the summer.

This is our driveway a few weeks ago. We got about a foot of snow, which wasn't so bad, but then the wind started to blow. The drifts were so deep the driveway had to be plowed so we could get in and out. The ditch next to our house was full of cars all weekend, we were busy!



Tara loves to play with Crash on his bed. It is her favorite place to be and if we let her she would sleep there. Crash is very good about keeping her entertained, but she always needs a bath after she has been playing with him because he licks her constantly.



And she loves the carry coasters around in her mouth....
